In our existing STAT 5.8 application
After creating the Archive set, We are getting option to change "File From" (Work/Environment),
but this option is disable in STAT 6.3 after creating the Archive set. Please enable this option in 6.3. This option is very time saving.

Please include your R&D team to enable this feature. Our whole developer team is using it in STAT 5.8 version.

  • Hi Prettek, best practice is to create a new archive set and select source (work, VCM, or environment).  This maintains the integrity of the archive and mitigates the risk of an unauthorized change to an object(s).  For example, if an archive set had been migrated to the UAT environment and passed user acceptance testing and a developer could re-archive from another source it is possible for the object(s) to be different from the original.  This could introduce a vulnerability or unauthorized change.
