Product overview of Toad Business Intelligence Suite

Hello. I'm Peter Evans. I'm the Product Technologist Consultant for Dell Software. And today I'd like to talk to you about Toad BI Suite. I'd like to give you a quick overview of the product, and the three components of that product. Toad BI Suite is made up of three individual components which all work in stand alone mode, but when combined form the Toad BI Suite. Toad Intelligence Central, which is our software collaboration platform, allows both Toad Data Point for the analytical provisioner and Toad Decision Point, for the analytical expert. To join two data sources to collaborate around data and from the analytical provisioner's point of view, to be able to provision that data out from independent enterprise sources, allowing that data to be shared amongst other users in a fully secure environment. Toad Data Point, as you can see, is a very IT-driven tool. It allows for a multitude of connections. If we hit the Connection Manager here, we can see the overview of all of our connections. So we can connect to file data sources, relational data sources, business intelligence data sources, and NoSQL data sources. All of these data sources can be used in relational queries. And can actually be used using standards and CSQL to create and build out data sets, and views that users can use to do that analysis from. We can do various types of work. We can use a standard SQL editor. We can build queries in a Visual Query Builder. And we can actually build out very complex SQL statements. So that you can actually run creations of stored procedures on servers. You can run analytical views using our inbuilt, analytical tools. And then we can automate all of this process to enable the user to work in a much more productive fashion with the data and the analysis that they want to do. Toad Intelligence Central allows you to control and administer the users that share the data through our collaboration platform. It allows you to share artifacts that have been created with Toad data points amongst your team users. So not just only as a data platform, but also as a collaboration platform, allowing things like automation scripts, SQL scripts, data reports, pivot grids and query builder files that have been created. This enables you to get out of the problem of having a single point-of-failure within your organization. And allows you to work better as a team and be more productive. It also allows you to connect to data sources from here, and map those data sources if required. Toad Decision Points allows your builders, your decision-makers, and your analytical line-of-business analysts to look at the data and actually create views of that data which can then be used to form decisions within the company. You can build out views of that data in multiple types. You can build out different types of views of the data, and then provide those views via sharing work groups to other users. So that they can immediately see how your company is doing, how the performance of your company is, and what decisions need to be made. So this is a very quick overview of Toad BI Suite.
