[MUSIC PLAYING] Franke is an international company. We produce everything from coffee machines to equipment for McDonald's or Burger King. We are very much worried about hacking of our accounts or phishing our accounts and getting passwords from our end users. And we really do want to be in a position to disable the accounts when it is necessary.
Before we used to have many different applications. And no one really was taking care of the life cycle of the account in those applications. It was easy to create accounts and applications because somebody would complain that I need access there. I need to walk to work with this application. But when this person was changing roles or moving outside the company, no one was really taking care of the account was closed. And then she would continue having access to it.
Devoteam is a French company which has multiple satellites in all Europe. And we are over 4,000 employees and most likely business consulting. Nowadays we see a lot of cloud solutions coming to Franke, and even a lot of other target systems as they are buying a lot of target systems. And with those, of course, you always have unmanaged accounts or accounts which get off. And those are always a critical issue.
From my perspective, the accounts which really get orphaned. And even cloud solutions like you're sitting at home and can access systems from your private spaces, and if they don't get locked when you get fired or you are just changing the employee, and still have access to them, it's like a big issue.
So when I came to Franke, my actually first task was putting this identity management system to corporate identity. We found a lot of orphaned accounts. And to find them and to reduce the number of orphaned accounts is a good benefit, and I guess a measurable benefit which can be seen at Franke. And also the target systems and security risks like finding out who has access to what is a big benefit.
They reduced point of access. They secured by having multiple accounts which were accessible in cloud solutions in their target systems. And with finding them and using them, a lot of security risk got away.
