San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools: SBCSS gets full IT inventory and saves imaging and support time
We were using about seven different products to perform the inventory, imaging and remote system management that we now perform with just the KACE K1000 and K2000.
The SBCSS supports 33 elementary school districts – including 412,000 students – across 22,000 square miles. Its IT team maintains PCs and Macintoshes for more than 2,000 employees moving among 500 schools countywide – a tough user base with which to keep up. SBCSS needed to consolidate the variety of tools it used for inventory, asset management and compliance so it could see its entire computer network. Plus, it also needed to reduce the time and effort required to build and deploy images to its employees. So, SBCSS turned to KACE K1000 and KACE K2000 for help. As a result, SBCSS was able to:
- Identify all computers on its network
- Drastically reduce the time to build and install images
- Enable remote image deployment to PCs anywhere on the network
- Increase help desk productivity and decrease user downtime across the largest county by area in the continental U.S.
