For over 23 years, Stefan Koehler has been pursuing his passion for Oracle and has developed a specialized expertise in Oracle performance tuning, with a particular focus on the Oracle cost-based optimizer (CBO) and database internals. Currently, he serves as an independent Oracle database performance consultant and researcher, providing his services to market-leading companies and multi-billion-dollar enterprises in various industries around the globe. His primary role involves assisting clients in understanding and resolving complex Oracle performance issues, as well as troubleshooting challenging and nontrivial database problems on a short-term contracting basis.
