Hi, I'm Sean, and I'd like to welcome you to the Enterprise Reporter Azure Resources video demonstration.
The first thing we need to do is create an Azure Resources discovery. Next, we're going to give it a logical name, we're going to pick a cluster, and then add credentials that have global administrative rights to the user tenant you wish to get data from. I've already added these under the Configuration section and went through the admin consent process. So select the account.
Next, we need to select the collection options and add the subscription from the selected tenant at the top. So let's add a tenant, then choose which resources and access control you'd like to collect. I'm just going to leave the defaults. Here, you can schedule how frequently you'd like the discoveries to run. As you can see, you can run once daily, weekly, monthly, and you can have up to five schedules for each discovery. I'm not going to wait around for it to run. I'm just going to run it manually.
For the purpose of speeding up this video, I sped up the discovery. It took just over three minutes, but that all depends on what you're collecting and how large your environment is. From the Report Manager, I've already created an Azure Resources report. If you've watched the previous videos, it shows you how to create a report. So I did not do so, for redundancy.
I used the Azure Resources data source. There are many others to pick from. This data source has the most details you can fit into one report. And as you can see, it gives you details on the subscription display name, what kind of resource, which is storage on this page. And if you scroll down, you will find many other valuable details.
And that concludes this video demonstration. Thank you for taking the time to watch, and there'll be many more to come. To learn more about the Enterprise Reporter Suite, visit us online.
