Hello,
This message is commonly observed when a backup task reaches the predermined allowed task lenght time.
Please check for how long the backup job ran, then go to the following menu in vRanger:
VRanger GUI -> Tools -> Options -> My jobs -> Configuration.
Around the middle, there is a value called Task Timeout, please check if the backup job ran for this amount of time or more, which is 24 hours by default.
Increase to 999 for testing purposes and then re-run the job (please note the job must be started after applying the change, if it was already running, the change will be applied the next time it runs.).
Please let us know the results.
Thank you.
Sure, I can help you with that.
The error message "Cancel detected; exiting task. (150)" indicates that the backup job was canceled before it could complete. This could be due to a number of reasons, such as:
To troubleshoot this issue, you will need to check the backup job logs to see more details about the error. The logs may contain information about the reason for the cancellation, such as the specific error code or message.
Once you have identified the cause of the cancellation, you can take steps to fix the problem. For example, if the backup job was canceled by a user, you may need to re-enable the job or modify its permissions. If the backup job was canceled by another process, you may need to identify and stop that process. If the backup job reached its timeout limit, you may need to increase the timeout limit. And if the backup job encountered an error, you will need to troubleshoot that error.

I hope this helps!
