With MMS going away, how am I going to get text alerts from Spotlight. I tried the regular SMS method and it breaks the text into a bunch of chunks and I don't get all of them.

Hi, I tried sending an alert with lengthily content and my text message includes the entire text. I'm using a different mobile provider. Do you happen to have default character limit specified by ATT or by your phone? That might be why the remaining text is moved to a new message.
Not sure what the other carriers are doing, but ATT is giving no alternatives. SMS has a hard character limit of 160 normal characters or 80 unicode characters. I'm guessing that what I'm getting from Spotlight must be unicode, considering the size of the texts that are coming through.
I checked with other team mate that uses Verizon and it still works fine for him, even though they turned off MMS back in December. So, it's an ATT issue, but this is going to make things very difficult on some of the larger alerts (ie, blocking).
I have tmobile and also no issue. We do have those larger emails with SQL content that true they can be quite lengthy. ATT might offer add'l services (might be add'l cost). Have you seen this: Say Goodbye to Email-to-Text and Text-to-Email - AT&T Wireless Customer Support
