I am trying to figure out which port number I need to use for letting a Spotlight client (not the server being monitored, but the server from where the Spotlight console can be accessed) communicate with the Spotlight diagnostic server.
I see the below information in the url http://help.spotlightessentials.com/enterprise_backend_networkports.html#tcp-40403. But, I can't figure out the difference between them below. If I need to use Spotlight console on my laptop, what port needs to be open on the diagnostic server?
TCP 3843
This port is used by the Spotlight Client to communicate with the Spotlight Diagnostic Server. This port must be open for incoming connections on the Spotlight Diagnostic Server host.
TCP 40403
