What's new in Channel Enablement?
QoreStor, Quest's new Software Defined Secondary Storage platform went live in June, and then August brought another release 5.0, adding further capability.
- In September and early October we released four QoreStor implementation level self-paced web-based training courses. To complete the QoreStor implementation level certification program four more courses and testing components will be incrementally released through October to early November.
- Take advantage of previously released sales and presales 5.0 accreditation curriculum.
KACE SMA offers a single point for managing a multitude of company assets. KACE SMA v9 was released in late August adding many marketable enhancements, including top requests:
- Service Desk, Assets, & Inventory/Agent Dashboards
- Automated Service Desk Ticketing
- Software License Harvest Assistance
- Expanded HW warranty support
- Printer Management Templates
- Agent relay tunnel
- IT Process Automation
- Common Task Calendar
- Multiple Console Themes.
- To support this major release updated sales and presales accreditation curriculum came out in September and early October.
- A few new Performing Distributions courses and tests will be added to the KACE SMA implementation level certifications in October, covering Managed Installations, File Synchronizations, Task Chains, Task Calendar, and Replication Shares.
- These KACE SMA implementation level curriculum components will see 9.0 updates in October and November:
- KACE SMA Basic Setup and Initial Configuration Implementation level practical exam
- KACE SMA Course 1 - Installing the KACE SMA
- KACE SMA Course 3 - Appliance Fundamentals.
NetVault Backup v12 brought improved scalability during VMware backups, application-aware storage snapshot support, QoreStor repository integration, a new catalog search engine to speed recoveries and a number of user interface enhancements designed to improve administrator productivity. NetVault Backup 12.1, released in September, brought new backup-as-a-service functionality for use in managed service environments, support for MS Office 365 including an updated MS Exchange Plug-in, as well as a new plug-in for Office 365 Exchange online mailbox protection. This release also includes updates to NetVault's single sign-on and client push install capabilities, and the delivery of an updated plug-in for VMware with improved scalability featuring advanced load balancing for distributed backup jobs.
- A new 12.1 product release update course will be released in October along with four updated NetVault Backup 12.x Admin level certification courses and tests.

- In October and November look for a new Sales accreditation course, and 8.8 updates to the presales curriculum.
