Hello.
I know that it is possible to migrate from many exchange servers to one (consolidation)
Does anyone know if it can be done the other way? From one exchange server to many?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
George

Hello George,
Yes it's possible, but not usually one of the use cases we hear of.
Luke
You can actually do m:n - say you have a consolidation of 10 source Domains, and want to move them over into two target Domains (e.g. one for financial and one for the rest of the users).
It doesn't happen very often, but it happens.
Hello Luke,
thanks for the answer. I know it's not done that way usually but well that's what the potential customer wants to do so we're trying to see how to do it.
Just to make sure we are on the same page, we are talking about simultaneous migration from one exchange to many, source and targets working in the same time until migration has finished and is verified, correct?

George
