Why do I have write access error upon starting Content Matrix 8.9.0.1 SharePoint edition

when opening Content matrix Version 8.9.0.1 SharePoint Edition I get a write access error. I can run it when I run as administrator, but I have users that aren't Admins and therefore this doesn't help them as they are not authorized to run as administrator. Any good ideas would be great.
