Content Migration Admins/Migrating permission options

Hello, Does anyone have a recommended method on how to give individuals migrating site collections permissions? Currently, I have a handful of individuals that will be assisting in migration--they are the POC's for SharePoint at their level. They only have design rights in the source and can be set as SCAs in the target.

How do I give these people enough permissions to migrate without risking loosing data from the source? Will Content Matrix overwrite their permissions in the target post migration even if I set them as a Secondary Admin in Content Matrix?

Below are responses to your questions:

a. You may refer to the following for the required permissions when using Content Matrix to connect to SharePoint and migrate its content:

b. You may instruct end-users to create a read-only connection to the source SharePoint environment to make sure that they do not accidentally migrate any data to it.

c. By default, the Copy Permission and Security option is enabled when migrating content using Content Matrix, which will overwrite existing permissions on the target environment. To know more about the different permission options, please refer to the link below:
