Content Matrix Migration: Custom Column migration from SP 2003 to 2016

While using Content Matrix for Migration from SP 2003 to SP 2016, a custom column on the source, SP 2003 did not migrate. The column had to be created manually on target environment and mapped to complete the migration. Is there a way to automate custom column migration?
