Content Matrix Error ---- Server was unable to process the request --> Value does not fall within the expected range.

We are using Content Matrix 7.2.0.7 Version for Migration from SharePoint 2010 to Office online.

We are able to connect the SharePoint 2010 site without any issues and we have Site Collection Admin (SCA) Access on the source.

When we are expanding any sub-sites in the source, on every document library we are getting below error message.

"Server was unable to process the request --> Value does not fall within the expected range."

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Regards,

Meet

  • Hi Meet,

I would recommend the following -

    1. Upgrade to the latest Content Matrix version

    or

    2. If an upgrade is not an option at this time, use NWS to connect to the environment. But, take note that it may affect the migration performance.

The following information is for upgrading to the current version of Content Matrix in case you decided to take that path:

    Link to installer >> www.metalogix.com/.../content-matrix

Link to installation documentation >> www.metalogix.com/.../Content_Matrix_Console_Advanced_Installation_Guide.pdf

    Kind Regards

  • Hello Eliza

    Thanks for reply,

1 : Point 1 is not feasible as it is deployed at farm level, so version upgrade is not allowed.

2 : We have custom content types, site columns and those are mapped with term stores, so in Native Mode mapping option is disable.

I troubleshoot further more and got this message in error log

2017-11-09 11.15.20.1891: An error occurred while fecthing child nodes for Node Site URL/Doc Lib URL'

Server was unable to process request. ---> Value does not fall within the expected range.

  • Hello Meet,

Thank you for submitting the log. I would recommend that you submit a case so an engineer can perform further investigation.
