Migrate remove /non active AD users

Could you kindly guide us on the below:

Currently we did try to migrate a subsite, however it did not copy the removed or non-active AD users

How do we resolve this.

  • Hi Shabeer,

When migrating to a SharePoint On-Premises environment, database writing has to be enabled in order to copy deleted or inactive AD users. For instructions on how to do so, please refer to the KB article below:

    How to enable database writing

    metalogix.force.com/.../How-to-enable-database-writing

However, please note that database writing methods are not supported by Microsoft, and if used will have an impact on your Microsoft warranty.

On the other hand, you need to use the Azure Migration Pipeline and enable the "Allow copying of deleted Active Directory users" option when migrating to a SharePoint Online environment.

    Regards,

    Cyrus
