Is it possible to migrate webparts using source database attachment

SP2010 source and SP2016 destination. Both have Danish language packs.

 

If we migrate from a SP2010 database backup no webparts are migrated and there is no error in ULS og Content Matrix logs. Sites, lists, pages etc. migrate correctly.

 

If we instead point the source to a farm and migrate using the webservice the webparts are migrated.

 

Is it not possible to migrate webparts using a database backup?

    Hi Cyrus

     

    We experience that webparts in publishing sites does not get migrated using the database adapter. We will use the database source for the initial migration and then migrate publishing pages with webparts using the farm source.
