As per the content matrix documentation, AD groups can be migrated using 'Import mapping from xml' method. As per the docs, I am using the SID of the AD group to migrate, but it is failing with an error 'The specified user c:0+.w|s-1.... could not be found.'. Can you please share an example of AD group to migrate from on-premises SharePoint 2010 to Office 365?
Hi Vidya,
If you are referring to Active Directory and not SharePoint groups, yes, they can be mapped using an XML file. The following article provides information about the format to be used when migrating to SharePoint Online using either CSOM or Azure API:

Thank you Cyrus. I was able to migrate the SP User using xml, my ask was to share an example entry of AD Groups using xml and that is not answered in the article. But meanwhile I was trying work on the same and I am able to migrate the AD Groups now. We have to use the claims token along with the SID in the xml.
Thanks,
Vidya
