Setting a default content type to office documents Issue

I'm using content matrix console - SP Edition-8.5.0.6 to migrate document library from SP 2010 to SharePoint Online.

 

I have a custom content type 'XYZ Document'(inherited from OOTB Document CT) attached to target library in SPO and I'd like to set this as the content type for every document which is migrated. I'm setting this via content matrix (please see attached). This works as expected for all except docx,pptx.. (office items). For all office type documents, for some reason this setting is not working and the default CT shows as 'Document' instead of 'XYZ Document' after migration.

 

Please let me know if there is a CT transformation that I can use to set CT = 'XYZ Document' instead of using matrix settings.
