Content Matrix 8.5 WSPs are still deployed after upgrade. Can they be removed?

Upgraded Content Matrix from version 8.5 to version 8.7. The 8.7 WSPs were deployed successfully but the 8.5 WSPs are still deployed. 

Are they needed (we're not actively using these)? 

Is it safe to remove them manually through Central Admin?

    Hi Rodney,

     

    Yes, you can remove the 8.5 WSP's from the previous version. Please remember however, when you retract and remove solutions from Central Admin this will impact your SharePoint environment during that process.
