Recent Microsoft updates for Outlook have resulted in the prevention of opening archived emails. This issue appears to be impacting multiple third party products in Outlook.
Metalogix Archive Manager users will see the following warning within Outlook "If you can see this Information, your form cache is probably corrupt. Please clear the form cache"
Please note that clearing the cache will not resolve this issue.
Currently the following updates are believed to be responsible for the loss of functionality:
KB4011098 - support.microsoft.com/.../september-5-2017-update-for-office-2016-kb4011098
KB4011090 - support.microsoft.com/.../descriptionofthesecurityupdateforoutlook2013september12-2017
KB4011086 - www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx
We are working directly with Microsoft on this issue and will provide updates as soon as we have them.
At present the only workaround is to not install the updates for Outlook. However, we strongly recommend that customers evaluate any risks associated with not being current with Microsoft Updates before deciding to take this action.
