DBSS - Unavailable - exception - SQL

Hi Team

As you well know, this alert in SQL DBSS - Not available. It tells us when a Database is not available, that is, without the status, it is different from Online, but if I want to make an exception so that if the status is in recovery or restoring, it does not alert, where could I do it?

  • Hi Agustin,

The DBSS - Unavailable rule is designed to fire when a database is deemed "unavailable" by the DBSS - Database collection itself and it is written directly into the collection which cannot be modified.

Knowledgebase article 4251669 describes how the DBSS - Unavailable rule works.

There is an enhancement request FOG-4715 was logged to ignore other conditions including offline. I've added a recommendation in add RECOVERY and RESTORING to the request.

In the meantime, the rule could be customized to use the "status" from DBSS_Database_Properties as a customization of the rule as an alternative. This is detailed in Knowledgebase article 4370110.
