putting birthdate without year

Hi, suppose I don't feel like putting my *birth year* in my profile? There seems to be no way to avoid that. I tried deleting my entry altogether but it insists on putting my birthdate plus 2016. Some of us more experienced professionals would like to be v

As it asks for your 'birthday' I must admit I put 2016. I didn't take it as 'birth year' when I read it
But I agree with Carol, if it means that I don't want to include it
