In today's data-driven world, the demand for data is increasing and its protection is critical. Oracle is everywhere - from ERP to medical and other applications. However, not all applications need all the features and cost of Oracle. In this presentation, we will explore ways to move data from Oracle to PostgreSQL. We will begin by highlighting the high-level trends in data and the growing need for data movement. We will discuss the impact of this demand for data. We’ll also discuss the challenges in moving applications that access the data. Moving data is not a straightforward task and requires considering data growth, data demand, and data protection. To meet these challenges, we will explore the options available to move data from Oracle into PostgreSQL, including selective data movement.
