Award recognizes professionals who make outstanding contributions to the government IT community

IRVINE, Calif., March 21, 2005 – Quest Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: QSFT), a leading provider of application, database and Windows management solutions, today announced that Paul Garver, vice president of Quest’s public sector business, has been named one of Federal Computer Week’s annual Federal 100 Award winners. This year’s awards were presented to public and private sector information technology professionals who made outstanding contributions to the government IT community in 2004.

Garver was recognized for his thorough understanding of the unique requirements of the government marketplace, for spearheading the development of innovative solutions for government customers and for the outstanding strides made by Quest’s public sector business.

With a strong affinity for military personnel and their families, Garver has led the Quest effort to ensure that troops get the critical infrastructure technology they need and in a timely manner. For example, throughout complex technology migration projects with the U.S. Army, Garver set the bar for his team’s dedication to both the Army’s infrastructure security and to ensure minimal disruption to troops reliant on the systems.

"The 16th annual Federal 100 Awards honor the individuals who go way beyond just doing a good job. These are the people who drive change, who make government smarter and more efficient," said Federal Computer Week Publisher Anne Armstrong. "This year's winners become part of a tradition of excellence and service. We applaud them and their achievements."

Federal Computer Week's March 21 issue will be dedicated to the 2005 Federal 100 Awards. The issue will highlight each of the winners and their accomplishments. It will also profile some of the more innovative winners.
